I’ve been taking a small break from posting to develop some new features on HUE. Check out my new Products by Color and Products by Style section. These include some great product collages grouped by color or style. Instead of just filling a collage with things that are blue, I have carefully selected items that can all work together in a room. It’s like a ‘room starter.’ Need inspiration? Working with an empty space? This is the perfect thing for you! All products and prices are noted, with links to where you can buy them. Here are some collage examples, to check out the full post click on Products by Color or Style in the menu…

I came across a great rug today, I wish I had a place to use it. It’s such a nice shade of orange, not too bright, and not too pink. Orange can be a tough color to use in decorating, because it can be so overpowering. The most important thing to remember, if you are using a bright shade of orange, is to balance that brightness by using it with whites or neutrals. Since this shade of orange is a bit lighter, I decided to pair it with a deep blue/gray, using light orange and neutral accents.

Benjamin Moore has unveiled their color of the year, Vintage Wine #2116-20. This deep hue is best used as an accent. Shown above, this nook is given a cozy feel by just painting one wall with this rich color. (A nice departure from the usual “white mudroom” look.) This color is warm and welcoming. Not up for painting?…Here are some other ways to bring this sophisticated color into your own home.
